This is an excellent opportunity for the right person to take on a key role within a busy Shipmanagement environment.
The working hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday through to Friday.
Duties Include but may not be limited to:
Responsible for crew activities related to their specified group of ships
Oversee/complete crew documentation –license, visas, courses, employment contracts
Oversee/organise travel arrangements, visa applications where needed
Maintain rotation plans for achieving stability on board
Arrange all relevant courses and training required to keep seafarers up to date with legal requirements
Daily contact with all sub offices in regard to crew planning
Maintain close contact with vessels regarding crew issues
Regular contact with port agents in respect of crew changes
Co-ordinate crew activity with Master and Superintendents
Keep record of crew retention rates
Conduct ship visits as required
Monitor and audit CBT training records
Experience required
previous experience in a similar role within a shipping environment would be advantageous.
Experience with Microsoft and Windows packages is essential.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
