The School of Medicine, Dentistry & Biomedical Sciences (MDBS) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate to the post of Research Assistant within the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine.
The postholder will primarily work within a multiprofessional team undertaking a Cochrane systematic review and provide additional assistance in project work developing a core outcome set, related to physical rehabilitation in critical illness. In general, the postholder will be an active member of the research project/team assisting in the planning and delivery of research activity within the Critical Care and Respiratory Research Group. Priority will be given to candidates with research interests and expertise in systematic review methodologies and conduct, rehabilitation, and/or outcome measure assessment and collection, to complement existing areas of research strength within the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate you have:
- First or upper second class honours degree or equivalent in Life and Health Sciences or other relevant discipline.
- At least 1 years’ recent, relevant experience in conduct and management of systematic reviews of effectiveness (with or without meta-analyses).
- Experience in managing study databases/spreadsheets.

Fixed Term 12 months (Part-time 0.5 FTE)
Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
