Our client is a leading automotive supplier based in Warwick that enjoys an enviable reputation for its expertise. They are now looking to recruit a Northern Europe Senior Product Manager with a background in the automotive aftermarket sector to join their marketing team. This exciting role is responsible for developing and executing Go-to-market and customer-focused marketing strategies to drive increased brand awareness, recognition & loyalty, customer engagement, and profitable growth. Key responsibilities:
- Understand the competitive and market landscape, be the expert on the competition and how they are positioned
- Understand all key market and channel trends and define appropriate penetration strategies to reach the end user
- Customer insight and research, be the expert on the customer and their journey
- Execute a customer-centric go-to-market strategy
- Define and execute an action plan to optimise sales pipeline opportunities
- Execute market launches of new products, ensuring customer shelf-space wins
- Identify growth opportunities with key customers and loyalty plans
- Plan and implement appropriate marketing tactics through the product lifecycle
- Lead implementation of category communication & content marketing plans
- Create region-specific marketing materials & content specific to drive customer engagement
- Translate & adapt central communications for maximum effectiveness
- Support shows/customer events to build brand awareness and customer relationships
- Implementation of the tactics to achieve revenue and profitability results and market share growth for the category
- Understand key financial & economic indicators to drive regional growth
- Define and own the region’s price position based on market and financial indicators
- Lead regional annual price review & price adjustments
- Implement appropriate sales enablement activities to drive demand and overall success
- Be the category Subject Matter Expert providing sales-enabling training and knowledge transfer to customer-facing teams
Key skills & Experience:
- Degree in Marketing and/or Business
- Experienced in a marketing role (category marketing/product marketing/trade marketing), preferably in the Automotive Industry
- Previous exposure to, and understanding of, the usage of key economic indicators, financial drivers & business metrics to generate strategies and produce positive results
- Experience working in a marketing environment in a multi-country role
- Demonstrable experience in turning trends, data and insights into marketing strategies and tactics to address market and customer needs
- Have keen problem-solving skills and a willingness to take on complex challenges, and see through to resolution
- Abe to “think outside the box” and willing to take calculated risks
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Additional Information:
- Hybrid working, 2 days a week in the office
- 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
- A valid passport, driving license and be flexible to travel when required
