We are looking for a Field Services Engineer that will be dispatched to drive to various customer sites in a company-provided vehicle.
This role will have to travel overnight 1 to 2 days a week with stays at any of our company-approved hotels.
You will perform preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration/verification of instrumentation for Hach's wide range of customer sites, including municipal wastewater, drinking water, food, beverage, power, and laboratories.
Training will occur over the first 90 days of employment and will include trips to our customer sites. The majority of training is on the job mentorship with more senior service technicians and sales team members on ride-a-longs.
What your day-to-day looks like:
Build a positive customer experience and serves as on-site customer contact for technical and service-related problems and provide telephone support to customers technical queries
Interpret maintenance manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
Submit timely, accurate service reports that affect billing, inventory, instrument history, and instrument failure
Follow safe work practices according to company policy
Implement pre-call planning, efficient service schedule routing, and visit requirements
Carry out calibration/validation installation, service repairs, maintenance and calibration on equipment on the customer premises under the direction of the UK office centralized dispatch planning team
Coordinate with manager and materials handlers to resolve appropriate replacement parts inventory
Handle efficient parts' utilization, and maintain accurate inventory records
Control own spare parts inventory and to ensure spares and equipment movements.
Maintain tools, spares, equipment and company vehicle in good condition.
Carry out or assist with other duties by agreement with Supervisor and Service Manager.
Promote the sales of service work in the UK in conjunction with colleagues in Sales and Administration
Are you qualified?
Mechanical, electronic & electrical proficiency
Validated experience performing Preventative Maintenance (PM), diagnostics & repair on core products as required
Ability to interpret and understand schematics
Holds valid driving license and clean driving record
