Mobile Cherry Picker/Access Platform/Utilities Service Engineer And /Or Apprenticeship Opportunity
Mobile access platform (Cherry Pickers) / utilities service engineer required in the Taunton or Exeter area, to cover work within the South West. Based from home, working on customers’ premises/workshops but occasionally working at the company facilities.
(An Apprentice would be based at company address workshop in Wedmore, Somerset and travel with a qualified engineer)
The job entails carrying out Thorough Examinations (LOLER's), fault finding and repairs on vehicle mounted equipment. CAP certification ideal, but training provided for the suitable candidate. Also the servicing and repairing of utility equipment i.e. compressors, generators, winches and hydraulic powered systems. Company transport. For qualified engineers a good knowledge of hydraulic and electrics essential, welding skills desirable, but not essential.
Candidate skills and requirements:
· Self-motivated and able to work off own initiative
· Good communication Skills
· Dedicated team-player
· Full UK driving licence
· Basic range of hand tools (any specialist equipment will be provided)
· Any previous mechanical knowledge preferable
Qualified Engineers Skills and requirements:
- NVQ Level 3 in Land based / Agricultural / Construction Plant / Commercial vehicles
- IPAF Operators Licence – training provided
- CAP certification (training provided to suitable candidate)
- Experienced maintaining/servicing hydraulic / electric
Package:
- Salary £35,000 plus, according to experience
