Job description
Our Ringwood, Hampshire based client has an immediate requirement for a qualified Field Service Refrigeration Engineer to work in and around London, primarily covering supermarkets and small works sites.
Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, your principal accountabilities and responsibilities will include:
- To carry out reactive repairs on a wide range of commercial refrigeration systems
- To undertake preventative maintenance work as required
- To cover 24 hour call out on a rota basis
- To receive, respond and advise on calls passed from the Service Office
- To carry out or assist on installation work, when required
- To carry out commissioning at local level where required
You must be able to demonstrate the following key skills & competencies:
- Capable of hands-on problem solving with ability to generate ideas and solutions.
- Ability to use own initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Ability to cope with competing demands and to prioritise tasks.
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude.
- Commercial awareness.
- Self-motivated but able to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental issues.
- Relevant Refrigeration certification i.e. City & Guilds in Refrigeration
- Experience of CO2 Systems
- IT skills, Microsoft project, including excel, word and handheld mobile devices.
This is a full-time permanent position with an immediate start available, there is a 42.5 hour basic working week plus optional average of at least 5.5 hours overtime.
There is an enhanced rate of time and a half for overtime, and you will get an annual enhancement for emergency call-outs as well.
The other benefits will include your choice of van or crew cab, pension at 8%, 25 days holiday plus the 8 bank holidays and pay rates reviewed annually.
The starting salary will be between £40,177 and £42,343 per annum depending on experience.
