We are looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer for our MedTech business. The role will be based across North London and will report to the Technical Services Manager.
Responsibilities:
The role
As a Field Service Engineer , you will be responsible for technical service and support activities for our hospital customers on all products supplied by the Fresenius Kabi MedTech business.
Main Accountabilities will include;
- Perform installations, service and repair on all products distributed by Fresenius Kabi in the defined geographical area of responsibility. This is to include all INS and TCT product lines.
- Establish & maintain communication & partnership with customers, team members and business contacts.
- Ensure all activities are performed following the available instructions, information and SOP’s within the FK Quality system framework
- Report all relevant service activity in the relevant service management system, to ensure updated and accurate service data in the system.
- Develop knowledge of Transfusion/Infusion medicine and Fresenius kabi products in order to contribute to user training and support.
- Organise workload to service FK customers within the contractual SLA’s.
- Manage an inventory of spare parts which enables an effective support to FK customers whilst maintaining an efficient stock turnover.
- Manage an inventory of supplied test equipment and ensure calibration dates are adhered to and certificates provided to our customers to support service activity.
- Provide regular feedback to the Technical Service Manager and the sales business to ensure the best service to our customers.
- Demonstrate key skills, listening to customer complaints and needs, understanding and addressing concerns in a reliable and efficient manner.
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining focus on the donors and patients’ needs and consistently identifying opportunity to deliver added value.
Experience & qualifications required
- Minimum of Higher National Certificate – Electrical & Electronic engineering.
- Ideally experience working with Medical Devices and in hospital and laboratory environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Disciplined, independent in executing tasks, but also a strong team player

- Service minded with strong analytical skills
- A high level of IT competency
- Good written and verbal communication skills
