What will you be doing?
You will play an integral part of the Vodafone Field Engineering team, performing installation and maintenance activities in support of the fixed and mobile networks as well as Vodafone business solutions. You will also install, commission and maintain the Vodafone network, products and services to agreed Vodafone standards and service levels without compromising safe working practices
Responsibilities
Install, commission and maintain the Vodafone fixed and mobile networks, products and services to agreed Vodafone standards and service levels without compromising safe working practices- Follow our Vodafone HSE Absolute Rules, without exception
- Communicate with internal and external customers in a professional and timely manner
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and challenge existing processes and procedures in order to deliver operational excellence for our customers
Who are we looking for?
Formal telecoms/electronic qualification or equivalent experience gained through previous roles.
- Hands on experience of the following telecoms technologies
- Core transmission technologies e.g. SDH, OTN, DWDM and Ethernet
- Fibre and Copper cabling techniques
- Multi-Vendor CPE experience e.g Cisco, Juniper, ADVA
- Ability to work both in a team and on your own efficiently and effectively
- Ability to work in a focused manner under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- PC skills (IT Literacy)
- Valid / full UK / EU driving license (Category B)
- Excellent customer-facing skills
- Desire to expand your skillset into Mobile technologies (4G/5G) and equipment’s by demonstrating adaptability and the ability to learn new skills quickly.
SC Clearance or eligible to apply is a must. 5 Years minimal within the UK.
