Field Engineer– Communications, Northern Region

£25,000 - £30,000, company car/car allowance,

Our client, an independent successful award-winning managed IT, print and communication specialist with a reputation for delivering excellent and effective bespoke designs and solutions for digital workspaces has a new opportunity within their team of Northern Engineers.

The field engineer role involves installations of cloud and PBX telephony systems, conducting pre -installation site surveys, cabling, maintenance, fault finding and repair work across new and an existing portfolio of clients. You will be travelling to several clients sites across the northern region (Birmingham/Nottingham up to Liverpool)

Our field engineer, will be a flexible resourceful individual with good telecommunications knowledge. You will be delivering a first-class, exceptional service to the customers, gathering and confirming the customer’s requirements, managing the installation project onsite, delivering training and providing reports on the work completed.

Being part of an excellent team of skilled engineers, you must be flexible around our client’s requirements on install days. This could involve the requirement to work overnight and staying away from home frequently.

You will be a self-motivated, confident, person with a good understanding and technical knowledge of the telecommunications arena.

To be considered for this vacancy you will:

  • Have a sound knowledge of installing VOIP and PBX telephony systems, ideally Ericsson LG PBX or iPECS Cloud
  • Hold a full and clean UK driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
  • Be a confident & courteous communicator, a self-starter and a team player
  • Be flexible and work away from home regularly
