Job Title: Senior Workforce Analyst

About the Trust
Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) is one of the largest acute Trusts in the UK, employing over 28,000 staff. It was formed on 1st October 2017 and since then has been responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six separate sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialized regional and national services.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· Oversee the provision of workforce information for external bodies (e.g., Department of Health, Health Education England, the Office for National Statistics).
· Oversee the updating of databases to support HR Performance management information. Identify workforce information needs for both external and internal clients,
· providing advice on best practice.
· Ensure that appropriate information is provided and complies with the requirements of the Data Protection Act.
· Design tools and oversee processes to capture and analyse data for workforce information project work.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Experience of working in a customer-focused environment
· Experience of working in a business-focused information environment e.g., delivering information functions and supporting the organisation through the use of management information systems (MIS)
· Experience of working in the NHS
· Ability to deal with situations which may require the application of tact and diplomacy, and that demonstrate a customer focused, problem-solving approach.

- Conduct data analysis and provide insights to support business decision-making
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using various tools such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, PeopleSoft, Taleo, and Kronos
- Perform data entry and ensure accuracy and completeness of data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of HR systems and processes
- Support HR initiatives and projects related to compensation, benefits, talent management, and employee engagement
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR analytics
- Provide training and support to junior analysts
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR analytics or a similar role
- Proficient in using ADP, Paychex, Workday, PeopleSoft, Taleo, and Kronos
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience in social media management is a plus
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance.
