About The Role

This client deliver service excellence on a nationwide basis. From national fibre networks, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology across the UK.
The role & responsibilities:
You will be expanding telecommunications networks into new locations or replacing outdated lines, you should be an expert in terminating fibre optic cables. To fix signal issues, you will also troubleshoot and carry out maintenance. It would be preferable if you had prior installation or customer service experience working for and AltNet, VM or OpenReach.
Your role will include:
- Building a new fibre network
- Preparing and Splicing distribution cables
- Splicing the cables onto cabinet distribution cables.
- Splicing cabinets
- Preparing all cables and correct labelling
- Using a OTDR
- Blowing in cables
Ideal candidate skills and experience:
- Positive attitude toward work.
- Capacity to operate independently.
- Capable communicator
- DBS checked
- Always able to work safely.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- NRSWA and Fibre Accreditations Lighting and guarding for signs
- Daily reporting of whereabouts and completed tasks in a simple format is required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
