Female Personal Assistant/Support Worker Cheltenham, England
Job description
We are looking for a enthusiastic female personal assistant/support worker to work, part time with a young woman with cerebral palsy in her own home in the Cheltenham area. A great opportunity to learn new skills, establish an open relationship with the young lady, and become part of her dedicated team.
You will:
· be assisting with all personal care (including moving and handling), nutrition, technology, communication, and housekeeping duties.
· need to be reliable, patient, caring, fit & energetic, empathetic, a quick learner, have common sense, and a good sense of humour.
· be providing companionship, supporting her various interests, outings, and holidays, plus driving her to college and other activities.
· have experience supporting young adults with physical disabilities/Cerebral Palsy is preferable. However, even if you have no experience in the field of social care, but do have a keen interest in supporting others, we will be interested in who you are, what you care about, and what you could bring to the role.
· be able to work in a team/family environment.
Job Types: Part-time, Temporary contract
Contract length: 24 months
Part-time hours: 16-24 per week
Salary: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
