Contract: 12 Months FTC, Full Time
CHANEL is looking for a Merchandiser to join the UK Region Fashion Merchandising team, based in London. You will play a lead role in establishing the merchandising strategy and optimising the business in accordance with global and regional strategies. This position will be a key support role for the Head of Merchandising. You will need to work closely with a variety of teams both in the UK, other markets in the region and the global product merchandising teams in Paris to ensure key information is cascaded and business is optimised.

- We are looking for a Merchandiser on the Handbags team to build expert knowledge in the area to analyse, translate and convey key messages to influence our buyers and drive the business.
- At CHANEL merchandising is a pivotal department, with product being at the heart of what connects a lot of teams. This role will be expected to drive communication with other teams, Supply Chain, Visual Merchandising, Training, Client Relations, Events & Marketing and Retail Populations.
- The successful candidate will have excellent influence skills but be able to tailor their approach to the intended audience and to help us use the buys to create a unique identity for each boutique.
- The Merchandiser will also be responsible for optimising stock to meet the constantly evolving needs of the business relying on analytical skills as well as product sensitivity and qualitative feedback.
- Using detailed knowledge of your category to contribute to the Open to Buy process that involves close partnership with the Planning team, analysis of sales, sales planning, full price sell-thru and markdown history/projections.

What you will bring

- 6+ years’ experience in a related role some of which in women’s Shoes.
- Actively following the industry, key influencers and seasonal trends. You’ll have a strong pulse on the overall economic landscape.
