We have exciting opportunities for Specialist Weavers within our Woven Fabrics production facility and are currently looking for enthusiastic and practical individuals wanting to develop themselves further within a technical weaving environment.

The Department and the Role
Heathcoat’s unique weaving capability enables the creation of a diverse and expansive range of products. Our impressive facility is equipped with an extensive range of high technology looms, including flexible, rigid rapiers to high-speed air jet and double beam looms, handling an extensive range of high-performance fibres including spun, multi-filament, monofilament and high tenacity yarns, woven to meet individual customer specifications.
Our Weavers play a vital role in the production and quality of fabric produced on our looms. As a Specialist Weaver, you will provide support to loom operatives and overlookers. You will be responsible for inspecting fabric, carrying out pattern checks, warp starts, identifying and remedying faults along with doffing pieces, filling creels, threading ends, repairing warp and weft breaks and completing inspection sheets.
Essential Skills
- Trained to appropriate weaver standard
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Good knowledge of weaving production process
- Ability to solve problems in a methodical manner
- Able to work on own initiative
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
