Full Job Description - Herdsperson
Experience Essential
Herdsperson for our 300 Pedigree Jersey herd, all year round calving.
- Milking twice a day through a rotary parlour.
- Our cows are grazed and buffer fed during the summer but are housed and TMR fed in the winter.
We are looking for someone with milking experience and understanding of:
- Dairy hygiene, herd health, breeding/heat detection, foot care and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of TMR feeding, ability to AI and foot trim would be highly advantageous
- Preparation of milking equipment prior to start up and shut down.
- Milking cows adhering to Whiteoaks protocol.
- All round maintenance of cow health and welfare.
- Cleaning and sanitising of all parlour equipment.
- Adhering Health and Safety procedures.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £30,000.00 per year
Work Location: One location
Hours of Work:
7 days a week cover working hours between 4.30am to 6pm.
Flexibility will be required to ensure all duties are completed, job and finish.
