Job description
The Role
To contribute to the smooth and efficient operational activities within the Network in order to meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Ensure that equipment that is issued and returned is carried out as per the RF Gun and MHE process and procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is dispatched in a timeliness fashion and in line with the daily operational schedule.
- Be conversant with all site processes and procedures relevant to the role undertaken.
- Be conversant with the correct procedures for issuing and returning equipment and ensuring that all the relevant information is recorded and communicated to the operations and systems department.
- Understand and adhere to the companies’ procedures and rules.
- Ensure a high level of housekeeping is maintained, whilst carrying out your duties.
- Carry out all tasks/goals or projects whether working individually or as part of a team.
- As required, to provide an up to date report on the state of play with MHE and RF Guns.
- Communicate any developments or potential problems to your immediate line manager as soon as possible.
- Ensure manual handling techniques are adhered to at all times.
- Ensure daily pre-operational checks are carried out on all Mechanical Handling Equipment.
- Ensure that the only personnel to operate Mechanical Handling Equipment are those that have been trained and authorised to use by the on-site trainers.
- Carry out any reasonable task that is within your capability and you have been trained for
- T he ability to be able to perform a range of Facilities related duties as required.
- Consider the quality of work while completing tasks
- Input of data and related administration of the site based systems
- All activities to be compliant and in support of the contractual KPI targets.
- Conduct and behaviour to be compliant with Wincanton Health & Safety legislation and guideline.
- A range of duties to support the operational efficiency and general housekeeping and hygiene standards of the warehouse and site.
The Person
- Numerate and PC literate with excellent Excel skills along with good communication skills are essential to the role.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and an accurate way of working to ensure all documentation and data is correct.
- Ability to work as part of a team, also independently and show initiative.
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns Mon – Fri Alternative shifts 0600 – 1430hrs and 1400 – 2230hrs
- Able to provide and understand the need for a high standard of customer service.
- Comfortable to liaise and communicate with the staff.
- MHE licence desirable but not essential
A proactive, flexible and "can do" attitude to resolve issues and challenge.
