Job Description
As Facilities Experience Support Operative, you will provide a world-class customer service experience to our Virgin Media client and their Reading HQ building users throughout the entire site and its functions.
The Facilities Experience Support Operative will be be customer focused, approachable & composed, flexible and show great interpersonal skills.
You will show key strengths by being action oriented, ability to deal with ambiguity, organisational agility, problem solving & whilst demonstrating excellent written communications & being always empathetic and confident.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests from 07:30 – 18:00 Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays
- Answer general enquiries to the building and its services adhering to Virgin Media O2 procedures
- Assist with Health & Safety matters such as evacuation procedures and drills
- Ensure that the reception and front of house area including the meeting rooms are kept tidy and in order
- Use digital workplace technology to book visitors in, issue visitor passes and contact the host for the visit
- Follow the visitor, contractor and employee reception processes as produced by the supply chain partner and agreed with Virgin Media
- Support individuals who decide to use the self-check in solution deployed within the reception area
- Provide a professional and flexible porter and meeting room management and support service.
- Ensure meeting rooms are set up for any special requirements, ensuring all equipment is in working order prior to the booked meetings
- Report and work it our IT team to keep the technology working seamlessly
- Operate our post room within the office, working with multiple logistics companies to provide a postal service to all building users
Professional and personal competencies/qualifications
- Capable and willing to follow instruction and direction
- Good organisational skills
- Competent working with Office 356 and able to learn new technology quickly
- Positive phone demeanour and superior written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take on new or additional tasks outside of your normal role.
