As a Caterpillar Fabrication and Welding Apprentice you will train to become a qualified Welder working on a variety of products within the facility.
You will be working within a committed team, who are continually promoting excellence in Safety, Quality, Velocity and Cost . This commitment allows us to be world leaders when it comes to investing in people and building ‘Best in Class’ products.
Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Always follow the Company’s Health & Safety policy and safe working practices.
- Adhere to Caterpillar's Values in Action: Integrity, Commitment, Excellence, Teamwork & Sustainability.
- Actively raise safety and quality related issues, following a ‘Stop to Fix’ mentality.
- Function as part of a team, willing to be trained in multiple products and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
- Contribute and participate as a team member within safety, quality, and efficiency activities.
- Follows documented procedures, standard work, and risk assessments to perform safe and defect free operations.
- Fabricate & Manually MIG weld fabrications to cat specifications and document learnings.
- To be involved in Community based activities as part of your ongoing development.

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:
- Must show a passion for Fabrication & Welding and have an interest in this field of work.
- Be keen, punctual, committed, and reliable
- A good, positive attitude and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- A demonstrated willingness to learn and develop your skills are vital.

Job Title: Apprenticeship – Welding & Fabrications – Level II City & Guilds.
Salary: Earnings potential for Year 1 £15’112 - Year 2 £18’560 circa (+ Production Bonus £1000) subject to criteria
Contract: 18 Month on the job Apprenticeship.

Week 2 - Monday – Thursday 06:45-15:00, Friday OFF
Travel: Not required with this role.
Relocation/Sponsorship: Not supported with this role.
