Quality Control Team Leader
North Kent
£45-50k DOE + fantastic benefits + bonus!
Rare opening within the Quality Control team of a leading manufacturing company within a scientific sector within the North Kent area are looking for an experienced Quality Control Team Leader to join their team and support the Quality Control Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Quality Controlleader with a science-based degree (ideally chemistry) to propel their career forward within a sought after business.
Duties include:
· Supervising a team to ensure adherence to all regulations within a Manufacturing facility
· Ensuring that batch tests are sent out accurately and on time
· Communicating with other departments effectively and setting deadlines to ensure batches are sent out within set timeframes
· Ensure that all regulations are followed, maintained and updated (SOPs, Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments etc)
· Performing calibration tests on laboratory equipment
· Lead by example and strive for continuous improvement within the working environment
· Training other members of staff, being involved in recruitment, development plans, appraisals, 1:1s, reviews etc
· Stepping up and covering for the QC Manager when required
The successful candidate will have / be:
· Previous experience within a laboratory manufacturing environment
· A degree (or equivalent) in Science / Chemistry, or similar
· Previous management/supervisory experience
· UV, IR or NIR experience
· Computer literate with the ability to use CRM systems
· Experience and knowledge of H&S, COSHH, ISO, GLP and GMP
· A problem solver
· Due to the nature of the role, you will need excellent colour vision
