Job description
We have an exciting opportunity for an Export and Logistics Coordinator to join our team based in Inverurie, Scotland.
Export and logistics coordinator will be responsible to plan and co-ordinate materials to and from locations as identified including creating and uploading manifests, creating load lists, and commercial invoices. Keeping to deadlines and ensuring compliance with legislation, procedures and Service Level Agreements.
Principal Accountabilities
- Manage all logistic movements in line with business requirements working closely with the relevant business functions
- Coordinate with vendors on cargo delivery dates
- Coordinates inter vendor movements as needed
- Create manifests and relevant paperwork as required from client for shipments
- Liaise with freight forwards on international shipments
- Customs clearance of incoming shipments
- Compliance checking of import & export entries
- Creation of dangerous goods documentation
- Inward processing relief tracking and paperwork
- Export/Import entry filing/archiving
- Export licence applications
- Coordinating data for 3rd party audits
- Adherence to internal compliance programme
- Leading efforts for establishing and sustaining continuous process improvement
- Work with buyer to obtain acceptable rates with transportation companies, freight forwarders & crating companies
- Invoice and delivery note uploads/checking/backups
- Assist the commercial function on bid requirements
- Ensuring any export discrepancies are fully investigated
Qualification / Skills / Experience
- Track record of experience with import and export compliance
- Dangerous good training for air/sea/road
- Proficient MS Office skills and ability to work with different bespoke software packages
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
