Job description
We're looking for an SEO Manager for SaaS Agency who is obsessed with the latest SEO developments and how they can impact their clients.
Our SEO Manager needs to have experience in writing 360 degree SEO strategies that incorporate content and on-page tactics, outreach and link building and technical SEO.
Paying from £32,000 to £45,000 (DOE) with a bonus based on client upsells and working on new potential clients.
We're not expecting someone to come in and do it all. We have fully functioning teams who are experts in building links and creating content. What we need is someone to orchestrate the band, so to speak, someone to direct our expert delivery teams against a strategy that is in harmony with our clients' expected results.
We need someone who not only has the love for SEO but the passion and confidence in their own abilities to be accountable for client performance.
About us
Specialising in SaaS SEO fueled by a combination of human expertise, data analysis, and automation.
Our skills lie in the strategic use of content, SEO, large-scale outreach and link building to get our clients organic results that match paid performance channels.
We're about finding the leanest, most efficient and effective routes to get there. Forget the old agency adage of 'pulling a late one' - we're all about working smarter, not harder while respecting our colleagues' work life balance.
About you
You will be client facing when required but as you'll be working with the client manager you'll not need to do any account management. Instead you'll be the subject matter expert in the room, brought on to talk through what's needed to deliver results.
You'll also need to pick up some hands-on technical SEO work, that might include anything from a site health check to a domain migration, but you'll have execs to support with this work. This also means you'll have the ability to train other SEO's and help improve our processes.
- A minimum of 3 years Previous or current experience as an SEO at specialist or equivalent level, and be able to demonstrate your knowledge / experience.
- Awareness of Link Building and experience with these types of campaigns is very beneficial.
- Agency background - ideally 2 years within a SEO agency.
- Worked on enterprise level SEO or SEO budgets over £7k per month.
- Must possess great interpersonal skills and be able to connect with people from international and diverse backgrounds
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Working with clients to define their KPIs in order to create the correct SEO strategy in order to achieve the defined KPIs
- Developing complete strategies for our SaaS clients that incorporate on-page SEO, content production, technical SEO and link building
- Delegating work to our internal stakeholders, whether they be content writers, outreach, technical or SEO executives in order to ensure all the resources available to you are working inline with your strategy and delivering you the results you need.
- In-depth keyword research and keyword analysis.
- In-depth SERP analysis
- You will be expected to define the correct content approaches for our clients, identifying not only what keywords we should rank them for to deliver results, but also what type of content we need to create to rank and how we are getting to get that content to rank.
- We're looking for someone who isn't afraid of some deep work in a spreadsheet. What some agencies just consider keyword research, we consider the crux of a strategy, defining where that keyword sits in the client's customer funnel and how realistic it is to rank for that keyword against the competitors with the available client budget is a huge part of the initial strategy, which you'll be responsible for.
- Creating client reports (our preference is Data Studio, but we're not precious if you have a better solution).
- Training new strategists and identifying knowledge or skill gaps and proposing how we fill those gaps.
- Forecasting and projecting what work is needed, work with the project manager to understand what resource is needed now and for new clients we hope to take on.
- Working with the head of operations on improving our current processes and defying new ones we don't yet have.
- Working with the client manager on client retention and upselling presentations
- Being a part of pitches if needed to help tie up prospective clients with how we onboard them.
- Be seen as an authority within the team when it comes to SEO, and someone that can push their team forward with the right support.
- 20 days annual leave + bank holidays + christmas shutdown
- 2 extra days accumulated per year for each full year of service up to a total of 8 days.
- Flexitime - work your hours between 8am and 7pm
- Wellbeing hub - access to 24 hours support
- Lifestyle discounts from a large selection of service providers from restaurants, cinemas and holidays.
- Cycle to work scheme
- Working from outside the UK for up to 3 months after 9 months employment
