EXPERIENCED HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED FOR UHNW PROPERTY IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE

Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum, negotiable

A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced Housekeeper to work for an international ultra-high-net-worth family in their Central London property. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and professional Housekeeper with a team player mentality, able to work as part of a small team to ensure the smooth running of the household.
Reporting to the House Manager and guiding and working alongside two other housekeepers, you will ensure that the highest level of cleanliness across the property is maintained year-round. Jointly responsible for all hands-on cleaning, laundry and ironing, you will also assist with other tasks such as organising dry cleaning, ordering taxis and errand running. Having excellent knowledge of cleaning products and knowledge of how to care for furniture and surfaces with high-end finishes is essential for this role.
You will be self-motivated, well-presented and have a strong work ethic and positive, ‘can-do’ attitude as well as being very friendly and personable, whilst still remaining discreet and boundaried. Liaising with the House Manager, staff, VIP guests and residents, you will have brilliant interpersonal and strong communication skills, as well as a calm and unflappable nature. The house is occupied by a single resident for 9 months of the year, but when the full family are in residence, you will assist the House Manager in taking charge of the temporary staff, so strong leadership skills are required.
Working 40 hours per week across 5 days (to include some weekends) you must be flexible to accommodate different shifts – the early shift is from 9am-5pm and the late shift is 2pm-10pm. There are no pets at the property.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
· Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
· Cleaning of antiques, fine china, and silverware and surfaces such as leather and glass
· Cleaning and treatment of windows and floors
· Regular deep cleaning of bathrooms/kitchens and details such as preventing lime scale build up and running taps regularly to keep water pipes fresh etc.
· Laundry care, including caring for delicate items, ironing and arranging dry cleaning
· Ensuring all bedrooms are guest ready, providing turn-up and turndown services
· Running errands, providing concierge duties such a ordering taxis etc.
· Liaise with the House Manager regarding any/all maintenance issue relating to the property and oversee contractors doing work in the property
· Familiarise yourself and become confident with fire systems/alarm systems and AV systems
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
· Prior Housekeeper experience in a private household
· Fluency in English both spoken and written
· Hardworking and dedicated
· High attention to detail
· Flexibility to accommodate different shift
· Able to work independently with little supervision
· Good leadership skills and the ability to train and guide others
· Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills
· Trustworthy and reliable
· Excellent checkable references
