Casual Work
Overview
- Ensure the smooth running of the test day
- Manage all casual staff working on the test day
- Uphold the integrity and professionalism of the IELTS brand, as well as International House Test Assessment (IHTA) brand
- Trouble shoot any issues that may arise which compromise the test or the candidates, know when to escalate issues
- Manage the administration (online database, hardcopy and face to face) of the test day
- Ensure the wellbeing of all staff and candidates within reasonable scope
- Ensure personal availability until the end of the test day
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the security of a global test.
- Responsible for managing and issuing instructions, guidance and support to the test day team.
- Overseeing and supervising the testing of candidates in multiple rooms on test days
- Security & Confidentiality
- Uphold the integrity and security of the IELTS, materials, systems, procedures and IT equipment.
- Secure transportation of all administrative paperwork, signs, security hardware, live test materials to the exam centre
- Set up and maintenance of security laptops, cameras, phones, router etc.
- Vigilant maintenance of administrative materials
- Stock take materials returned to the exam centre
- Ensure all materials locked away
- Some heavy manual handling is also involved during the transportation of suitcases and test equipment off-site.

- Demonstrable ability to use different IT packages confidently and competently
- Ability to work quickly and accurately with basic numerical information and financial records
- Ability to prioritise work and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work flexibly as part of a small team
- A commitment to acting in the best interests of the staff, candidates and test centre at all times.
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- Experience of staff supervision
- Experience of delivering training either on a formal or informal basis
- Experience of working with clients in an international context
