Job description
Strategic purpose of Product Manager role is to help build, buy, assemble and co-develop LoB/CF needed technical capabilities to organize JPMC data, make it easily accessible, and useful to authorized roles for responsible use. This role will help connect communities, elevate practices, and show Impact by driving the LoB/CF aligned development and execution of JPMCs’ ambition to turn data into a real strategic asset across the organization.
The mission of the Firmwide Chief Data Office team is to enable at-scale development, testing, deployment, and continuous integration and delivery of data and AI/ML technologies in order to drive fundamental improvement in the quantity and quality of AI training data sets, accelerate AI / BI delivery (measured in days and months), and improve AI / BI performance. Enable a firmwide data & AI ecosystem with integrated platform, controls, compliance, and responsible AI. Provide the foundation and support for our business partners to consistently deliver data & AI solutions within targets, and in turn, create next generation market share.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage TDMP/S platform knowledge to fill gaps in knowledge, skillsets or resourcing bandwidth within single use cases, or run entire use cases end-to-end within FCDO
- Demonstrates to the business how TDMP/S platform supports the execution of an end to end Data Development Lifecycle with full alignment to JPMC data & AI/ML strategy. Interfaces with LOBs and internal HR processes to create JPMC-specific education programs and certifications, to further increase platform adoption (e.g. Train the Trainer programs)
- Leads LOB roadshows/workshops to communicate platform benefits, and increase user base
- Partners with DDLC Product Manager to ensure platform objectives and roadmaps align to overall DDLC strategies
- Works with LoBs to understand their objectives and data needs, ensure technical capabilities align to business value LoB/CFs are trying to create and evaluates, prioritizes and approves new TDMP/S use case requests (aligned to firmwide data & AI/ML strategy) according to guidelines from JPMC Product Operating Model (POM)
- Help create an environment that fosters retention, mobility, recruitment activities, recognizes achievement, promotes learning and embraces autonomy while providing thoughtful guidance. Oversee the product lifecycle from concept to sunset, including strategies, performance objectives and outcome-based roadmaps. Work collaboratively with Engineering Leads and Project Execution (TPM)s to ensure roadmaps strike the right balance between business delivery, technology enablement and operations work.
- Manage the end-to-end product performance, including financial, risk, operations and business performance through QBRs-Monitors and assists in driving use case execution, use case return on investment (ROI), and overall Foundry workspace user adoption and end user metrics
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
- Advance degree in computer science or related field with 8+ year of product management experience with an understanding of various personas and their journeys
- Deep subject matter expertise of Palantir Foundry (e.g. Objects, Ontology, Model Objectives, Workspaces, etc.)
- Good combination of (1) hands-on data engineering and data science skills- data acquisition, modeling, and analysis techniques and (2) agile data driven product development, JIRA, Confluence and Git(Lab)
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture and one of more programming languages (e.g.: Python, PySpark).
- Knowledge of the AWS and/or Azure stack. Experience with DevOps, DataOps, and MLOps
- Inclination to use Open-Source tech to help build industry wide communities.
- Experience with engineering of governance policies.
