Front-end Developer (contract) Remote

OnBuy is growing and we’re now looking for a Senior Front-end Developer to join our team. As our Senior Front End Developer, we are looking for someone with a varied range of skills and either an understanding of, or previous experience with, providing custom development, eCommerce, or stock systems, along with knowledge of selling online. Ideally, you will be a good problem solver, have an eye for detail and possess good time management and communication skills.
Your role will include maintaining and developing front-end systems for the entire OnBuy solution, involving everything from integrations with new partners to updating front-end functionality to supporting the OnBuy team. You will be comfortable working both independently and as part of our expert team of developers.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and experience in HTML/CSS, JavaScript (at least ES6), and jQuery
- LESS/SCSS
- Tailwind (or similar CSS framework)
- Architecting software solutions
- Testing at multiple levels
- Mentoring less experienced Developers
- Setting delivery expectations and communicating progress
- Performing peer code review
Other desirable skills & Knowledge include:
- Experience working commercially with Vue.js, React or Angular
- Familiarity with PHP
- Familiarity with MySQL
- Docker
- Git
