Executive Corporate Chef for Exclusive Resort in Maldives (Accomodation Provided and great benefits to grab!)
The Executive Corporate Chef is responsible for working closely under the direction of Senior Vice President- Operations with General Managers, Executive Chefs, Heads of F&B , Procurement Team, Senior Vice President- Quality Assurance & Innovation in creating and implementing the Culinary Roadmap of the company.
Regular meeting will be required with Managing Director and various Owners of the resorts for direction and updates.
Will work closely with Executive Chefs, and Other Culinary Professionals to achieve operational astuteness and ensure that all of their dishes meet the highest standards of quality and taste.
Must be capable of adapting to changing circumstances quickly.
Will on own expertise or in coordinate with consultants provide their inputs in kitchen planning- design, equipment, flow, aligning with benchmark’s in the industry and keeping as refence HACCP, applicable international standards & other local regulations in effect in the area of operations
Ensure Culinary manual exists or remains updated.
Be part planning concepts and implementation for new builds, renovation or changes that needs to be brought in at regular intervals, whether design related, production flow chart or processes in place, etc.
The role as accountability for sourcing best products in conjunction with Procurement Team and factoring in the economy of scales
Innovative approach is a key contribution expected in the role.
Mentoring and coaching of the Culinary Leads in the company also falls a s foremost in the role.
A network of industry professional, being part of trade shows and similar congregations is as keep interventions for tehr ole.
Other responsibilities include, but not limited
- Using modern food preparation techniques to create nutritious meals that are appealing to guest tastes and preferences
- Planning menus and recipes to meet customer demand while maintaining brand standards
- Working with suppliers to obtain high quality ingredients that meet company standards
- Training kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques, menu planning, and food safety procedures
- Developing new menu items based on guest feedback
- Maintaining inventory of food supplies and ordering new supplies as needed
- Reviewing food preparation methods and making adjustments as needed to increase efficiency or quality of output
- Managing a team of chefs and other culinary staff members to ensure efficient food production
- Ensuring that high standards of quality and sanitation are maintained in all areas of the kitchen
Create menus that are delicious and healthy.
Can capitalize on the trend to develop menus that feature fresh ingredients and innovative recipes.
They must work with the human resources department to create wellness programs that promote healthy eating habits among employees.
They must be Cultural Ambassadors, which means that they need to be able to adapt their cooking styles to fit the tastes of different cultures. A flair for traditional cooking styles would be of advantage also.
Must be able to being a focus on using local ingredients in their dishes. flavorful.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, or related field
- 7+ years experience as a professional chef, with at least 3 years in a corporate setting
- Exceptional culinary skills, with a focus on healthy and innovative cuisine
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Culinary Arts, or related field
- 10+ years experience as a professional chef
- Certifications
- Experience developing and implementing sustainability initiatives
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £100,000.00 per year
