Organization Overview: iamtheCODE is a purpose-driven charity with a revolutionary approach. We are an African-led global movement collaborating with governments, the private sector, and investors to bolster STEAMED (science, technology, engineering, mathematics, arts, and design) Education. Our goal is clear: empower 1 million women and girls globally to become coders by 2030, in alignment with the United Nations 2030 agenda. No other organization does what we do, so our work is groundbreaking and vital.
Position Overview: The Executive Assistant will provide indispensable support to our C.E.O., handling a myriad of charity-related tasks such as report creation, travel and accommodation arrangements, minute-taking, and more.
The ideal candidate should be well-versed in Microsoft Office, Monday, Trello, and Slack. Previous experience as an executive or administration assistant is crucial. However, the perfect candidate's innate sense of empathy, kindness, compassion, reliability, ability to anticipate needs and genuine commitment to the transformative power of education and opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements, reports, memos, invoices, letters, and other crucial documents.
- Efficiently handle and route incoming emails to the appropriate parties.
- Take on basic bookkeeping responsibilities.
- File and retrieve essential corporate records, documents, and reports.
- Aid in the preparation of crucial meetings and record accurate minutes.
- Handle travel arrangements for the C.E.O.
- Offer general administrative support to the global Team.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an executive assistant or in a relevant administrative support role.
- Comprehensive knowledge of M.S. Office suite, Slack and Trello.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and robust decision-making.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
