Student Recruitment and Outreach Officer London, England

British Academy of Jewellery
Full Time London, England 24000 - 26000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Purpose of job
Widening participation is central to the mission of the British Academy of Jewellery (BAJ). This exciting and varied new role will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a range of student recruitment and outreach activities. This position within the Student Recruitment division at the Academy focuses on outreach activity with a range of potential students including those currently at school or college and those who may consider returning to education as a mature student. This is a key role in the student recruitment team, helping to implement and develop the Academy’s widening participation strategy, and co-ordinate a range of outreach activities as agreed in the Academy’s Access Agreement. The post holder will work closely with other members of the student recruitment team, to ensure a joined-up approach to outreach and student recruitment activity at the BAJ.
Considering its humble beginnings in 1999 and the fact that the BAJ is young and small compared to other institutions, its growth is of key economic and educational importance: putting Jewellery education on the map in London, Birmingham, and Leicester as exciting destinations for students to learn and discover opportunity. BAJ is agile and responsive, custom built for a changing world, absorbing the best of UK further and higher education traditions and aligning them with a twenty first century audience and a modern world of employment and entrepreneurship. It is committed to being economically relevant and having a measurable civic impact, whilst remaining student centric.
The Person

You will have excellent customer service, communication and organisational skills, and will be self-reliant with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
