This opportunity is perfect for a high performing, committed and ambitious individual. You will help shape and influence where Group Audit and Conduct Investigations (GA&CI) focuses its efforts to support the Group as it implements its strategy.

The core purpose of the role is to provide direct support to the Group Chief Internal Auditor (GCIA) and working direct with the Exec Team. The individual is expected to provide dependable, reliable and discreet support and counsel to the GCIA across a wide variety of activities and requirements.

The GCIA office is a fast paced and significantly varied environment where we balance multiple priorities. Being able to influence and collaborate with key internal and external partners is a critical element of being an Executive Assistant (EA), as you'll be working alongside the GA&CI leadership team and other GEC offices.
This role is a great opportunity to grow your strategic awareness and build an understanding of what GA&CI does for the group, while also being uniquely positioned to gain insights into the group overall. In return, you'll bring a precise eye for detail, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritise and balance demands and a commitment to build and nurture strong relationships.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop strong working relationships with the GA&CI Executive Team (ET) along with the offices of other GEC members.
  • Provide effective support and assistance in reviewing committee papers, reports and other written correspondence, whilst investigating and collaborating closely with the ET and other teams across the Group to ensure key inputs are obtained.
  • Attend alongside / on behalf of the GCIA relevant committees and meetings.
  • Manage the agendas for meetings, ensuring the GCIA has required briefings and materials
  • Help draft the GCIA’s speeches, communications and presentations to internal and external audiences.
  • Lead on preparations for engagement with the Group's regulators - FCA, PRA.
  • Ensure the integrity and timely submission of GA&CI papers for all GEC, Board and Board Committees.
  • Track completion of key actions for the GCIA and ET from committees and key stakeholder meetings.
  • In liaison with the relevant areas and support functions, ensure compliance with the Bank's policies and procedures, along with all relevant regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Ad hoc involvement in planning events, offsites, presentations, town halls.
  • Management of the function, GA&CI, balanced scorecard processes.

Desired Skill set
  • Prior experience working in an audit and/or investigations function, and good understanding of the role and purpose of GA&CI
  • Prior experience writing and reviewing audit reports
