We are looking for a highly motivated individual with considerable experience of working in a demanding and challenging environment. This role will be based at St George's Hospital in Stafford and you will be responsible for the administration duties for the Director(s) of MPFT.

The post holder will directly support the Directors and manage the flow of work through the Chief Executive Office to ensure effectiveness and efficiency is met by the department at all times, which will include;
- Managing Director's phone calls and diaries/priorities
- Coordinate and monitor training for those staff within the directorate
- Provide administration support to the Directors
- Maintain filing systems
- Devise, implement and maintain electronic and paper filing systems
- Source and gather information to support Directors to prioritise their workloads effectively

1. The post holder will proactively manage the Director’s telephone calls, all correspondence and ensure due focus is maintained on the Director’s priorities. They will resolve and conclude issues on behalf of the Director using internal sources of support, and keep the Director promptly appraised of key issues and developments.
2. The post holder will work with a high level of independence including judgement resolving and responding to incoming communications, seeking advice (by exception) as and when necessary
3. When required, support colleagues in the Corporate Executive Support Team to provide business support to the Management Team to ensure effective delivery of the key objectives of the Trust Board.
4. Ensures that a confidential, efficient administration service is provided to the Directors including handling sensitive and confidential information/data.
5. Manages all aspects of diary management on behalf of the Directors.
6. Schedule and arrange meetings, involving both internal and external participants, taking formal minutes, as directed and assisting with the compilation and production of supporting documentation.
7. Handle telephone and visitor enquires from staff and external organisations, ensuring that all information is provided efficiently and courteously and in a manner that promotes the Trust’s reputation positively.
8. Undertake the progress monitoring and expediting of work delegated by the Directors.
9. Ensure that the Directors are promptly appraised of key issues and developments, liaising with key members of staff, other Directors, senior managers and stakeholders, as appropriate and are fully briefed accordingly in preparation for meetings.
10. Requires the ability and judgement to extract relevant facts from a broad mix of information in order to identify appropriate routes of action/referral.
