We are looking to appoint an Executive Assistant to join the Specialised Translational Research Oxford Neuromuscular Group (STRONG), based in the John Radcliffe Hospital.
The successful candidate will be an integral part of STRONG and will work closely with the team. The post holder will report directly to Professor Laurent Servais, STRONG’s principle investigator and will deal with a wide range of matters swiftly, confidentially, and with discretion; including corresponding and building relationships with a range of stakeholders both within the University and externally, acting as the research group’s recruitment liaison, placing and monitoring orders on the Oracle R12 system, and managing STRONG’s administrative office and core processes.
There will also be ad hoc discretionary duties to support the separate needs of Professor Peter Sullivan and Professor Anindita Roy.
This position is permanent and full-time.
This role meets the criteria for a UK Skilled Worker visa.
The role requires a highly adaptable worker who can work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and independently use their initiative to seek solutions. To be considered for this post you must have experience of managing the office of a senior member with experience of diary management, excellent IT skills including the use of email, the internet, standard desktop packages, and ordering and review systems, and a high standard of written English, with the ability to draft documents and reports and proofread the work of colleagues. Furthermore, it is essential the post holder has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, as well as working in a professional manner with tact and discretion. Demonstrable planning, organisation and time management skills are critical to this post.
Prior experience of the University of Oxford’s Oracle Financial information system would be desirable, as would experience in the higher education sector, events organisation, and knowledge of HR processes.
