What you’ll be doing:
Are you an accomplished senior-level EA who is ready to support the Strategic Resources Executive team?

You will be supporting the Executive and their leadership team who lead our Strategic Resource (SRO) functions across the Thames Water network. You will be down to earth, sociable, warm and tactful with a great sense of humour and will be able to work calmly under pressure in a regulated and rapidly changing environment.
This is a ‘hybrid working’ role with the expectation of working three days a week from one of our central London sites, and two days a week from home.
Day to day activities will include:
- Manage the team’s diaries to ensure efficient time-management.
- Be the first point of contact and “face” for the SRO Office, fielding all queries, high profile contacts and meeting any visitors tactfully and professionally.
- Draft confidential documents and memos, responses to all forms of communications on behalf of the SRO Team and providing support for presentations.
- Communicate updates on various projects between team members, managing the flow of information and delegating to the relevant business area and stakeholder where required.
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and committed working environment, building respect and trust amongst colleagues.
- Preparation of Board Packs.
- Proactively spotting communication shortfalls and gaps and plugging these.
- Project and event management, including the team’s speaking engagements and conference attendance, Executive and Board meetings, and internal staff events.
- Researching and generating briefings and visitor biographies in advance of meetings, including working with the wider business to ensure the Team are fully prepared.
- Building on your existing network of stakeholder EAs and PAs as relationships are key to this role.
- Process SRO purchase orders and Leadership Team’s travel and expense requests.
What you should bring to the role
- Proven success at a senior level in a similar role, ideally within a highly regulated environment
- Water industry or London government stakeholder experience.
- Loyal and trustworthy with a friendly, sociable approach, expressing a passion for Thames Water’s Purpose, Values and Behaviours.
- A calm, flexible, supportive, and responsive approach to change and events
- You will be highly organised with a professional, agile and diligent nature.
- Positive outlook and optimistic disposition
- Ability to understand the needs of our customers, and able to handle difficult situations with sensitivity.
- Be a problem-solver with ability to offer solutions.
- Excellent grammar and attention to detail.
- Shows initiative with a desire for change and making a difference.
- Knowledge of social media with the ability to respond to messages where needed.
- Ideally you will be based in or easily accessible to Central London.
