We are currently looking for a Diagnostic Engineer to join our Reservoir Services business.
In this position you will be part of the Measurement Insight team responsible for carrying out reservoir tracing techniques to provide a professional global customer service.
Job specific training will be provided leading to qualification as Radiation Protection Supervisor.
Reporting to the Project Manager it will include working collaboratively with colleagues and client staff and representatives onsite, working onshore and offshore, away from home including international travel when necessary to support the business.

Key responsibilities
You will be given plenty of responsibility as part of this diverse and challenging role.
- To lead teams, as appropriate in order to deliver Tracerco Operations techniques to customers.
- At times assist in investigations on site using radioisotope techniques on customer processes and process equipment, including offshore and overseas.
- Liaise with customers and seek to resolve all queries within a specific timescale.
- Carry out various reservoir tracing techniques techniques to resolve customer queries.
- Provide professional technical diagnostic reports (to ISO 9001 standard) and present findings and results to customers.
- Promote Tracerco’s extended services to customers whilst at their sites, to generate future business.
- To be the key ‘Tracerco Face’ at customer sites providing a professional service.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- HNC or degree (or equivalent) with an engineering or science bias, or sound mechanical/ Engineering background.
- Experience in a similar role within the oil, gas or process industry
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels
- Practical aptitude, with an enquiring and challenging mind
- Able to work independently and as a team with leadership skills
- Good IT skills
- Ability to work at height & onboard sea going vessels.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot GCMS, GCECD Lab systems
