EA to Group HR Business Manager – Fixed Term Contract

As a Barclays Executive Assistant (EA) to Group HR Business Manager, you will have an exciting chance to provide professional secretarial and administrative assistance to the Group HR Business Manager. It will give you the opportunity to work closely with an ExCo-1 member and be involved with some exciting projects. Your role will be on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.

- Having full management of a complex diary, managing short notice and last-minute requests, across multiple stakeholders
- Scanning the diary and forward planning with the Business Manager to ensure proactive management of key meetings, papers, review slots, and travel plans
- Having full inbox management of Group HR Business Manager – flagging important emails that require attention, using initiative to forward to team members, etc
- Tracking holiday for team, and managing Group HR Business Manager (BM) holiday requests to Group HRD office
- Tracking of Direct report 121 agendas/meeting notes actively, and ensuring actions are followed up to completion
- Raising and tracking POs where required, as well as managing, booking, and tracking all travel and expenses on behalf of the Group HR BM
- Handling the onboarding of new joiners as required
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant /Executive Assistant, supporting senior stakeholders and working in a large, matrixed organisation
- Experience maintaining calendars/schedules, inbox management, managing expenses and coordinating travel arrangements
- Excellent people skills, good communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team
- Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
Skills that will help you in the role:
- Proficient in Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel and comfortable using online tools
- Previous experience of coping in a fast-paced environment
