We are looking for an Executive Artistic Coordinator to join our Arts Programming department on a permanent, full-time basis.


The role of Artistic Coordinator has been created to provide day-to-day support to both the Artistic Director of Southbank Centre, Mark Ball, and the Chair of Southbank Centre, Misan Harriman. This is an exciting new role, working right alongside the Southbank Centre’s senior leadership team.


Main Responsibilities
:

  • To provide day-to-day assistance to the Artistic Director and Chair in coordination and attendance at key internal and external meetings and events: preparing materials, presentations and briefings and noting and following up on key actions and outcomes.
  • To support the liaison and development of key artistic and creative relationships and partnerships.
  • To represent the Artistic Director and Chair at internal and external meetings and events and attend productions, exhibitions and events as requested by the Artistic Director.
  • To undertake research into artists, organisations, events, stakeholders/supporters and trends and prepare related materials and presentations.
  • To support the Artistic Director and Chair on artistic and organisational innovation projects, ensuring delivery of projects and deliverables; on occasion to see work on behalf of the Artistic Director.
  • To provide administrative support for Curatorial, Direct-Report meetings, Away-Days and project groups, preparing agendas, minutes and supporting on liaison and follow up on actions to a high standard.
  • To coordinate and track Artistic Innovation fund-related projects, including: monitoring progress and outcomes; ensuring timely liaison, involvement and sharing of information into key stakeholders; ensuring key deliverables are on track and within budget; ensuring any related paperwork is completed as instructed (eg: Freelancer process, contracts); and providing regular and accurate reporting against project objectives and outcomes to the Artistic Director and Director Arts Planning & Producing.
  • To support the Artistic Director and Chair at events as required with regards to tickets, guests, media and other requirements.
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by your line manager.
