This role provides a comprehensive, efficient administration service relating to examinations and accreditation within the Adult Learning Service to meet the needs of staff and learners in full compliance with JCQ and Awarding Body regulations.
You will be competent and proficient in the use of IT systems, databases and Office 365 software to manage the booking and delivery of a variety of examinations, including online based examinations.
You will be a confident manager to support a small team of exams-based staff, ensuring each exam is delivered to strict JCQ regulations. You will support staff with annual training and mentoring to ensure that there is a culture of continuous improvement and compliance with exam regulations, to include invigilators and administration staff
An awareness of exam access arrangements would be beneficial to ensure exams are administered correctly in line with relevant regulations.
Ensure that learner records are kept in accordance with Data Protection regulations
Manage and respond to any non-compliance or complaints, carrying out full investigations and reporting issues to senior leaders
An awareness of financial processes and regulations would be beneficial, as the role includes managing the ordering of, and financial processing of invoices for registrations and examinations.
This position is full time, to be based at one of our 4 centres in Derby City. Working hours are usually Monday-Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm however, there will be very occasional evening (5pm-9pm) and Saturday morning (9am to 1pm) during peak exam times (typically in the summer term)
