A software leader based in the Midlands are currently undergoing a significant back-office transformation, and are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with ETL experience to play a crucial role in this exciting journey. As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for setting up and implementing robust reporting solutions that will drive business forward.
If you are regularly using SQL to query databased, ideally in a financial setting, using ETL processes, we want to talk to you.

With this team being at an early stage in this department, there are fantastic opportunities to develop and grow within the business. Engaging with stakeholders will be crucial to this position to understand how reporting systems need to be set up within the transactions department.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, develop, and implement reporting solutions, including reports, dashboards, and scorecards.
Set up data models, mappings, and dictionaries to ensure consistent and accurate reporting data.
Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities to gather the necessary data for reporting.
Troubleshoot technical issues to maintain data integrity and optimize system performance.
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed decision-making.
Develop visually appealing and meaningful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that effectively communicate key information.
Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting support to various teams and stakeholders.
Enhance reporting capabilities and user experience by staying updated with the latest reporting systems, analytics, and visualization tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand reporting needs and deliver innovative solutions.
Conduct meetings, address concerns, and provide training to end-users on reporting tools and best practices.
Communicate project status, timelines, and progress to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience as a Reporting Solutions Specialist or similar role.
Strong technical skills in data analysis, SQL querying, and visualization tools.
Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and database concepts.
Extensive experience in report design and development using reporting tools.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
In-depth knowledge of back-office operations and processes.
