Events Officer

£24 000 – £25 000 per annum

The Royal Armouries is the United Kingdom’s national museum of arms and armour and one of the most important collections of its type in the world, housed at its headquarters and flagship museum in Leeds, its historic home at the Tower of London, and the Victorian Fort Nelson in Hampshire.

Based at Royal Armouries, Leeds you will play a central role in the development, administration and delivery of an engaging and educational events programme, ensuring our collection is at the heart of what we do. Working with colleagues from across the organisation and with external partners both locally and nationally, the Events Officer ensures we meet and exceed the expectations of our diverse audiences both onsite and off. In particular, co-ordinating and delivering an events programme to engage our current visitors and to attract new and hard-to-reach audiences.

This position is a fixed term one year contract, working full time, 36 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. Weekend, Bank Holiday and evening working will be required, as will some travel.
