Summary Details
Role: IT Operations Technician
Seniority: Junior - Mid
Location: Europe (Remote)
Compensation: Rate dependent on local market location and experience
Responsibilities
- Monitor and support IT servers and systems
- Check for irregularities across IT systems and troubleshoot performance issues
- Assess data and user reports to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
- Plan and schedule maintenance and upgrades for all systems and tools
- Monitor and manage cloud services, internal networks, servers, databases, and tools
- Maintain and improve core systems within the organisation
- Provide IT support to internal staff as needed
- Manage and maintain IT asset register, including IT procurement and provide emergency support for business-critical systems
- Work with different departments to assess needs and recommend IT solutions and tools
- Ensure full operational IT systems in the office and manage IT equipment stores
- Assist with data protection and data security, including GDPR compliance
- Work with vendors to ensure an efficient telephony service and support internal communication channels
Essential Skills & Experience
- Knowledge of IT operations, including server management and system administration
- Experience with Microsoft 365 and Office 365 administration
- Familiarity with data security and protection practices, including GDPR compliance
- Experience with deploying and supporting the Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with Project management tools
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience creating and deploying IT policy and process
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite (Jira/Confluence)
- Experience with remote Endpoint management, specifically Microsoft Endpoint Manager
- Experience with networking configuration and management
