Job description
- Working with a cross-functional team, the Events Director is responsible for the overarching strategy and delivery of the European Commercial Summit, European R&D Summit, and Other Veeva-led events and industry tradeshows. The Events Director will lead assigned tasks and be responsible for the successful execution of key deliverables, including but not limited to:
- Project manage the logistics of our key European Summits in collaboration with our events agency pre-event, onsite, and post-event
- Organize logistics from beginning to end for all Veeva-led events and industry tradeshows
- Maintaining budget, procurement, and invoice/expense tracking and reconciliation
- Ownership of site and vendor selection
- Internal communications (i.e., staff registration, confirmation, final reminder, know before you go)
- Ensures flawless execution, quality of service, and timely delivery of all necessary components, properties, and materials for each event
- Ongoing monitoring and evaluation of industry best practices to bring innovative ideas for digital and in-person events
Requirements
- 8+ years of corporate events experience in Enterprise B2B Software or SaaS
- Experience leading large-scale (1,000+ attendees) world-class conferences, live and virtual, with a focus on logistical planning and execution
- Thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Proven excellence in participating in cross-team program management and high attention to detail
- Proven ability to build relationships with other teams and across all levels
- Ability to travel as required
