An exciting opportunity has become available for a Marketing and Events Assistant in our Economic Development Office.
VisitRichmond is the official Tourism Board for Richmond upon Thames and our small team designs, and delivers a range of promotional materials, events, social media campaigns, website content, works closely with local attractions, hotels and local businesses in promoting all that there is to see and do in Richmond upon Thames.
The Marketing and Events Assistant is an integral role in our team.
Post duties include:
- To support the development of content and promotional material related to visitor action plans, including directories, guides, trails, videos, etc.
- To support the marketing and events activities linked to the Visit Richmond Partnership, including compilation of the annual guide, website and social media accounts.
- To support the collection of data and information related to the visitor and tourism sector and from promotional campaigns to inform marketing and communications activities.
- To support the delivery and marketing of events run by the Council or in partnership with others.
- To support the maintenance of up-to-date contacts databases, in line with SSA Information Governance and Security policies, by collecting, checking and inputting information.
- To support responses to enquiries relating to partnerships and campaigns, including checking of mailboxes and social media accounts, logging of enquiries and channeling to the appropriate member of staff.
You’ll need to have:
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Social Media skills that include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and maintaining and updating the website.
