About the role
To help ClientEarth deliver our ever growing portfolio of events we are looking for an experienced Events Manager to join our newly created events team on a 12-month, fixed-term basis.
We run a combination of virtual, hybrid and in-person events - including our annual stewardship dinner, panel events, webinars, activity at international conferences such as COP, and our own event; the ClientEarth Summit. Our events support our fundraising, influencing and visibility both in the UK and internationally.
Meet your Manager
In this role you will be managed by Abby Williams who joined ClientEarth in June 2023 to lead the newly established Global Events team. Abby has over a decade of experience working in charity events and joined ClientEarth from BBC Media Action where she led on the organization’s portfolio of fundraising and profile-raising events. Prior to that she has worked in events and celebrity management roles at a number of UK charities, including Marie Curie UK, Age UK and Tommy’s. She currently sits on the committee for the Special Events Forum which brings together event professionals working in the UK charity sector.
Abby has a degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds and is currently working towards a Masters in Global Development at The Open University.
Role requirements
- Experience of delivering high quality in person, online and hybrid events for a variety of audiences
- Experience of working around competing deadlines and managing multiple stakeholder requests, tasks and priorities
- Experience of working with internal and external senior stakeholders
- Experience working on effective cross department projects and event delivery
- Fluent (CEFR level C2) in English
- Ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders from different backgrounds
