Job description
o3e is the leading provider of Charity Team Building Challenges. All of our events give back to charity, and if they don't, well then we don't do them! We believe it takes 'only 3 elements' to make a difference - Business, Charity, and Teamwork. We are based down in Brighton but work on events all across the UK, and Europe.
Our live events are booming! We're looking for Event Crew to join our growing team of freelancers! No experience is necessary, we're after people who are keen to learn, enthusiastic about giving back to charity, and are happy to present to a small group of people! More about your responsibilities as an o3e Event Crew is attached.
Our events include designing, painting, and building skateboards, building bikes and sports wheelchairs, raising awareness around Climate action, and putting together care packs for women's refuges or chemotherapy hospital wards. Our events vary from 12-1200 people, although a standard event is around 30-100 people. Every event is super fun, and engaging and offers a real opportunity to learn something new.
We pay a standard day rate of £130. This covers you for 10 hours, although most of our events are normally a 4-5 hour window. We also cover all travel expenses and overnights where necessary. We pride ourselves on paying above the national living wage. After your first 5 events, your day rate increases to £150.
We became a BCorp at the end of 2020, to show the world that we are leading the change to make the Planet a better place for all. We are signed up to Climeworks CO2 removal program and are finalist in the British Business Excellence Award.
If you are interested in getting involved in our challenges, please get in touch. Please note this is an ongoing opportunity 24th August 2023.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion at o3e
For us, building a working environment that is diverse, inclusive, and engaged, is a positive for both our colleagues and our customers. We are committed to equal treatment of candidates and promote, as well as foster all forms of diversity within our company. We believe that bringing together people with different backgrounds and perspectives is essential for creating innovative and impactful solutions.
Together we will cultivate a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment, where everyone can flourish. We are committed to driving change through increasing awareness of building an inclusive culture, and embracing diversity in all its dimensions.
Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet 60% of the requirements, women and those in underrepresented groups tend to only apply when they tick every box. So, if you think you have the skills, but don't meet every single bullet point above, please still apply. We'd love to have a chat and see if you could still be a great fit.
