Job description
An international asset manager is looking to hire a highly organised and commercially minded individual to support the efforts of the European Sales team, by providing both proactive and reactive support to key clients and prospects, as well as to internal stakeholders. A key aspect will be to provide support and assist the Sales Directors while they undertake client-facing duties across Europe, to enable them to be as productive as possible.
The successful incumbent will act as the hub for the team, offering an office-based, inbound point of contact for the Sales team and their clients and prospects. The role is intended to provide a clear path towards a sales role working alongside one of the regional sales leads in the future so this is a great opportunity to develop your career.
Roles & Responsibilities
Organise and prepare information and sales packs for client and prospect meetings.
Answer queries and provide marketing material and data as appropriate to all client / prospects.
Host client meetings in London and attend conferences and roadshows.
Help with European events planning.
Work effectively with the wider Business Development team and Investment teams.
Update and manage Salesforce.com.
Work with Client Reporting to ensure timely monthly and quarterly reporting on funds.
Handle all queries including those related to trades, settlements and rebates.
Provide enhanced trade support and customer service for strategic client group.
Help administer and report on client in- and out-flows.
General sales administration for the sales team.
Maintain and administer client/prospect KPIs as well as reconcile team production data in Salesforce and Fishtank.
Experience & Qualifications
Successful candidates are likely to have at least two/three years’ relevant experience, in order to demonstrate the required skills and knowledge.
Fluency, both written and verbal, in English plus at least one more European language is required. Dutch, French, Danish, Swedish, German, Italian or Spanish are strongly preferred.
Results focused, possessing strong communication and relationship building skills and the ability to use own initiative and to influence and persuade at a high level both internally and externally.
Have a service-orientated mindset with the enthusiasm, drive and ability to develop significant sales across a growing range of products.
Possess a strong understanding of the key European distributors and the broader Wholesale marketplace.
Understanding of investors, their needs and market trends.
Collaborative team player, with good organisational skills and strong IT skills, including MS Excel, PowerPoint and ideally Salesforce (or other CRM systems).
This is a position which offers a considerable degree of exposure to key relationships and acts as an integral part of a successful Sales team. It requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, commercial awareness, analytical and problem-solving skills, tenacity coupled with diplomacy, and the ability to organise, manage and orchestrate logistical processes.
