Reddit is all about community, which impacts everything about our company, from our product design to our user-led approach to content moderation. At a time when tech policy and regulatory discussions are accelerating worldwide, community-governed approaches like Reddit's must have a voice in the conversation. As Reddit grows internationally, it's important that we work closely and collaboratively with EU and UK politicians, regulators, academics, and civil society to help them understand the big issues that affect our business, our users, and the open Internet. We're seeking a Policy Lead for the EU and UK to lead our government relations and public policy work in Europe and the UK. Reporting to the Senior Director of Policy, you'll engage with UK and EU (and member state) elected officials, explaining Reddit's community-first governance model and educating them about the company and our users. You'll analyze legislation, provide strategic input on advocacy campaigns, participate in coalitions on behalf of Reddit, and engage industry groups, academics, and civil society on a wide range of tech policy issues. As a part of a global team, you will also undertake extensive cross-functional work with partners on Reddit's legal, safety, communications, and product teams. Ideal candidates will have solid tactical knowledge of both UK and EU legislative and governance processes and structures, be enthusiastic advocates for the free and open internet, and believers in community self-determination online.

- Closely follow UK, EU, and member state legislative and regulatory developments with potential to impact Reddit's business, and educate and advise cross-functional teams within Reddit about them.
- Produce written briefing materials as needed for Reddit executive team and senior management.
- Provide guidance to policymakers, advocacy groups, and other relevant partners on use of the Reddit platform.

- At least 5 years of experience working in or engaging with UK, EU and/or member state governments and legislatures.
