We are looking for an Estimator, to join our team at our Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction in Worksop, Nottinghamshire.
For decades we have refused to accept the limits of traditional construction methods. We have rewritten the rules and re-set the agenda by investing in a pioneering offsite production approach, known as our DfMA 70:60:30, and bringing the benefits of manufactured components to bear on our projects around the world.
Today, this approach is enabling us to construct faster, more safely, and more efficiently. It is improving product quality, reducing waste, and supporting the creation of a more diverse and digitally skilled workforce.
What will the role look like?
- The preparation, submission, and negotiation of tender proposals to enable the securing of a potentially profitable work for the business unit by ensuring that bids are prepared in a timely manner, are attractive to our customers, and meet the company's requirements.
- Seeking to improve competitiveness by innovative thinking.
- Engaging all disciplines into the work winning process
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Logical and well organised with the ability to prioritise
- Numerate and accurate.
- Presentation skills – Written and Verbal
- Positive response to pressure
- Technical competent in the estimating process
- Supportive of the introduction of the latest in-house IT software systems to ensure high-speed communication is maintained.
- Efficient in the use of Excel, Word, ERP software,
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the industry
