Job Description
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen to support the Customer Service Director and senior management team of Embark Platform on a Fixed Term Contract for 9 months. As Business Support Manager, you'll have opportunity to influence key partners as well as be part of the broader planning and decision making of the team. You'll also get insight across key transformation projects, establish relationships, and improve your understanding of the strategic priorities of the business and the wider Group. In addition to the key accountabilities described below, you'll craft the role in a way that allows you to develop your own abilities, taking advantage of the broad-ranging exposure that the BSM position lends itself to.
So, what would you be doing for us?
- Assist the Director in preparing for key meetings with support of the Executive PA, preparing, reviewing and analysing a range of papers and reports, coordinating inputs with the business area as required. Screening incoming information and communications sent to the Director, responding, re-routing and prioritising as appropriate when required
- Support the Director with relationship and management of external relationships / partners. Acting on behalf of the Director on specific issues or committees / project teams
- Undertake specific research on an array of subject matters, recommending solutions/actions to the team. Taking ownership for producing high quality papers and presentations for committees and meetings across Embark Group
- Identify, cascade, and see actions through to completion across the business from a variety of governance forums including Board, ensuring all papers are submitted on time to relevant committees with appropriate sign-off.
- Lead on all employee engagement activity within business area and people activities such as succession planning, talent matrix, absence management and training requirements.
What we need from you:
- Experience of supporting Director level with day to day work life including diary management, meetings and general coordination
- Having worked with SMT on collaborating various business matters, you'll be comfortable leading projects and developing strategies for our teams
- Hands on experience of being responsible for an employee engagement strategy and leading people activities for our teams

- Utmost level of written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and creativity to communicate to a wide range of audiences
