What to expect
The department is responsible for the provision and maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, plant and equipment serving the main non-manufacturing sites, Whitley, Fen End and Oxford Road. Operating on a single day shift at present. There may be a call to operate out of hours or on shifts from time to time dependent on workload.
Operating from a central facilities workshop, you will be responsible for conducting maintenance; fault finding and installation work in a variety of buildings with state-of-the-art vehicle design and test facilities. Whilst supporting the Estate management team ensuring all sites and facilities meet the needs of the business.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Support the Estate management team ensuring all sites and facilities meet the needs of the business.- Help to ensure a safe and efficient performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework.
- Be responsible for ensuring all work carried out is to current industry standards and associated codes of practice.
- Complete all record sheets and paperwork associated with routine duties accurately and in good time.
- Handle the completion of tasks either as part of the PPM system or routine/planned works.
- Mobility between sites
What you’ll need
Completion of an appropriate trade apprenticeship with education to NVQ level 3 or equivalent. Conversant with IEE regulations with experience in maintaining general office and workshop equipment and machinery is desirable. You must be self-motivated and use to working both in a team environment and on your own initiative.
- 18th edition trained
- Testing and Inspection
- Experience working on LV equipment.
- Experience working on Lighting and Lighting Controls
- Fault finding experience on Machinery
- Experience at reading technical drawings and specifications.
- Experience working with pumps, motors and motor controls
- Experience with BMS management systems inc. HVAC, Boilers and Compressors
- Computer literate
- Possession of a full driving license is essential.
