Join Essex Police as a police officer and you'll receive a starting salary of £28,812 to £29,682* with the potential to rise to £43,630 within your first 7 years.

To join the Degree Holder Entry Programme (DHEP), you must:

• have, or be working towards obtaining, an Honours degree (level 6) qualification or above, in any subject (apart from the pre-join degree : Degree in Professional Policing), from a recognised higher education establishment. Candidates who apply Pending completion their Qualification must receive formal confirmation of their official Grade by the end of the current Academic Year.
