Duties/Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
To support the Account Director in achieving business objectives through proactive management of the financial, commercial and business affairs of the contract. Responsible and accountable for the provision of all aspects of Operations (specifically projects) and technical Services. The scope of this role includes the management of cost effective in-house and outsourced solutions and working in close liaison with both Client and FM delivery teams.
Duties:
- Responsibility for the development and growth of centrally scoped Technical Services across the portfolio
- Organisation and implementation of new projects across sites ensuring safety, quality and service delivery for technical services contracts
- Responsible for detailed understanding of service standards and deliverables in line with the central Contract. Delivery in line with the appropriate Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) whilst ensuring alignment with the day to day site operations Teams
- Acting as the senior interface for the central technical operations and working closely with the Account Director in development and delivery of a hard services business portfolio
- Liaising with Account Director, ensuring all deliverables operate within set annual budgets
- Liaising with the Account Director and Procurement team to manage the cost-effective procurement of all Technical Services in line with the approved supply chain
- Management of operational speciality leads in Access Solutions and associated disciplines
- Align the technical business scope across the estate
- Responsible for legislative compliance across project deliverables in conjunction with the contract Health and Safety Manager, where appropriate ensuring all key safety working practices and rules are adhered to at all times to maintain a high standard of discipline
- Overseeing sub contractor workload and outputs, ensuring resources are continually reviewed and made available to maximise effectiveness and efficiency of productivity
- Overall responsibility for ensuring all appropriate engineering maintenance documentation/records are kept in clearly identified and retrievable systems
- Supporting and contributing to the specification, selection and assignment of new or existing supplier contracts
- Responsible for ensuring all related communications are effectively managed and to participate in the formal contract governance process to this end
- Supporting the Account Director with Maintenance Reliability Planning (MRP) and continuous improvement initiatives so as to ensure evolution and best solution at all times
- Sub contractor interface as necessary
- Access Solutions and annual budgeting
Person Specification
Skills:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate, or working towards
- HND / HNC / Degree in Mechanical Engineering and or relevant professional institute qualification
- Requires a broad background in mechanical engineering / manufacturing with a wide range of knowledge around manufacturing and production processes
- Experience in sub contract / facilities management environment on a multi-site contract
- Working understanding of production planning and scheduling and MRP
- Working understanding of procurement and sales
- Good interpersonal and customer relationship skills,
- Excellent written communications and IT skills
- Must be able to work on own initiative and be self-motivated
- Strong knowledge of Health Safety and Environmental practices, able to interpret and deliver a safe working environment and compliance in accordance with EMCOR and client requirements.
